Product description

Intelligence game for mentally training all dogs - Four boxes, which all must be opened in different ways, ideal way to keep advanced dogs busy

Dogs are very intelligent and inquisitive animals. They don't just want to just be physically occupied in play and training, they also want to be challenged mentally. The Trixie Dog Activity Game was developed both for dog and owner.

The Dog Activity Poker Box is an ideal game for occupying your advanced dog. The "Poker Box" is a strategy game with four compartments that all open in a different way. Your pet has to figure out how to open each little box to get the treats hidden inside. The toy is dishwasher safe and should be cleaned regularly.

Ideal for mentally training your dog!

Find tips and tricks in the attached handbook for how to best train your dog and form a real bond.

Note:
As with any other product your pet should be supervised with this toy. Please check the product regularly for any damage, and replace the toy if it becomes defective or if a piece of the toy goes missing to avoid any harm coming to your pet.

Brilliant interactive game
I got this game for Honey my 2 yr old GSD huskey cross, she is a 26kg very curious active dog who is very motivated by food. She absolutely loves it. Some of the boxes are very intuitive, like the flap lifting box (almost any dog will get their nose under it and get it open), others take more training, like the string handle boxes. We incorporated learning how to do these as a separate activity and used a second set of treats and a clicker, to reward her when she nosed at the string, then mouthed it, then bit the string, etc. once she was rewarded for biting the string her intelligence took over and she soon pulled on it to lift the lid off.(there is a tips leaflet with the game). Once she knows how to open the boxes it may seem like the puzzle is solved and the game is now too easy, but we play variations where we hide food in only one box and she has to sniff it out then indicate the correct box with a paw before getting permission to retrieve it. (click and reward for siting and pawing at the correct box, then waiting for command etc, you just have to break it down into little steps) or i put food into all of them but she is only allowed to go for the one i tell her to. she loves to do it right and be told how clever she is :) even when they know the games they enjoy the interaction of playing them with you and getting the rewards and praise. and your friends and family will be well impressed. The easy boxes will suit any dog and there is plenty you can do with keener dogs. It has taken some good bashing from the enthusiastic GSD paws and jaws, so it is quite sturdy, but it is still an assisted game and i took it off her at the start if she was getting too rough before she learnt the techniques - it is still plastic at the end of the day. All in all probably her favourite interactive activity board toy so far.
