The formula of PURINA PRO PLAN Medium & Large Adult 7+ Age Defense (previously: OPTIAGE) is specially adapted to the needs of your medium to a large four-legged friend from the age of 7 years. This includes an adjusted fat and protein content so that your dog can maintain its ideal weight even in a less active phase of life. The proteins come from high-quality pieces of chicken, which also contributes to a good taste. PURINA PRO PLAN Medium & Large Adult 7+ Age Defense also contains essential omega fatty acids, which are required for normal brain function and normal joint metabolism, among other things.

PP Senior
For the price this is a very good quality food. My older dog looks good on it and has put on some weight (good for my dog, but perhaps not ideal for other senior dogs). He's a very picky eater but hasn't refused this yet. I think the biscuits are very crunchy, sometimes my dog struggles with this, so I soak them occasionally. The feeding guide is good, taking into account more/less active dogs. I like the Pro Plan range as a good quality, mid price range product.

Excellent
Excellent food. Our old Smooth Collie girls (age 11 and 13) has been eating Purina Pro Plan Senior for the last 6 month now and they are doing so well on this brand. Earlier they were eating Hills b/d, also a product which were very good for them, but then our other dogs was fed Pro Plan adult, it was easier to try this instead and I have not regretted it one second. They are easily kept in great condition (even on only 200 grams a day), shiny coat and their stomach are very fine too, plus they like to eat their food too.
