Hill's Prescription Diet Feline c/d Multicare Urinary Care - Chicken is a dietetic wet food that supports a healthy urinary tract while lowering the the risk of recurrence of urinary stones. FLUTD (Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease) is a complex disease of the lower urinary tract that is commonly linked to to the formation of crystals, which can be very painful for the cat.
The two most frequent kinds of crystals that develop in the urinary pathways are struvite and calcium phosphate. These are often caused by a combination of urine saturated in magnesium, ammonium and phosphorus and alkaline urine pH. This food works to combat the main causes of FLUTD, while a low salt content means it is gentle on the kidneys.

Loves it and won't eat anything else
My cat had struvite stones and I was worried that he wouldn't eat the prescription diet as a very fussy eater. However he loves this food and doesn't seem to tire from eating it so don't mind paying. He hasn't had any reoccurrences so clearly doing its job.
