This beaphar Kidney Diet wet cat food has been specially designed to support cats with chronic renal insufficiency. The wet food has been made from the finest natural raw ingredients, with high-quality protein to ensure acceptance and digestibility. It is particularly important for cat that the kidneys are not put under unnecessary strain, so this food contains a lowered phosphorus content and limited protein levels. The recipe also contains salmon oil, which is rich in unsaturated omega fatty acids, essential for keeping skin and fur healthy, as well as helping to combat chronic kidney issues.
beaphar Kidney Diet also contains the essential amino acid taurine, helping to support heart, gallbladder, brain and eyesight. It is an essential nutrient that your cat cannot naturally produce in sufficient volumes.

There should always be plenty of fresh drinking water for your cat. It is recommended that this diet only be fed after consultation with your vet. This diet can also be used in the treatment of acute kidney insufficiency. Do not feed your cat with this food for more than 6 months to begin with. If this product has been recommended because of renal failure, you should feed your cat with it for 2-4 weeks. beaphar Kidney Diet is not suitable for young cats. Serve at room temperature.

Chicken + Salmon - Cheaper than vet stuff and enjoyed
I have now tried various renal meals. The Beaphar chicken and salmon seem fairly good, especially if you warm it a little on your body or radiator before opening. This makes it smell a little more. I also find scuffing the pate a little, helps gets the sauce into the meat and means my cat is more likely to eat that, rather than just licking off the sauce. Duck was not a hit.
The only downside is that sometimes someone else comes and scoffs the leftovers, so I’m going through more of it.

Chicken & Salmon slightly warmed
I tried several other renal foods without luck. We tried all the varieties of Beaphar kidney. The duck wasn’t liked, but both the salmon and chicken are enjoyed. I slightly warm them them up before by putting it in my pocket or on the radiator. This makes it very much more appealing. Sometimes if she doesn’t finish it, I squish it up with a little water and pop it in the microwave for 20/30 secs to slightly warm it, and suddenly it becomes yummy! My other cats snaffle it though 🙁

Life saver!
My 16 Yr old girl was diagnosed with ckd stage 3 in Nov last year. As recommended by her vet I tried Hills, Royal canin & purina. She would have the gravy but not eat the meat. I found beaphar kidney support when looking out of desperation for something she might actually eat. I got my first delivery on sat & she's a different cat within 4days. She's eating well & behaving like the girl I know & love. I do mix a little purina Pro plan with it to give her some gravy as she does like that.

Wonderful product - has given my cat his life back!
My 18 year old tom cat was diagnosed with stage 2 to 3 renal failure last November. As seems to be the norm my vet recommended Hills or Royal Canin, both of which he refused to eat after a week. I found this cat food, which he just loves, and has never tired of. Since eating this his life has been transformed. Previously he spent most days hunched over on the floor in my hall and his quality of life seemed very low. With Beaphar he is now purring, playing and going out at nights again, basically doing all the cat-things he had ceased to do.
Most remarkable of all I recently took him to the vet for a check up and his kidney function has returned to within normal levels. I didn't know that was even possible. Like others here, I'm bewildered that UK vets don't seem to know about this product, it is brilliant!

Beaphar Ranal diet food
My cat loves this food. My cat is is sooty and she 18 years old, she has kidney problems now and is very fussy with her food. I noticed straight away that she loves it and is starting to put on weight again. I would recommend this food to any cat owner looking for special food for their cat.

This cat food is brilliant
One of my 9 year old cats was diagnosed with kidney disease last year.He was extremely poorly after having 2 emergency operations to remove kidney stones that were causing his bladder to be blocked. Post operations our vet recommended Royal canin or Hills renal food which he more or less refused to eat which was very distressing as he was getting increasingly thin .In desperation we bought a selection of suitable food for him to try including the selection pack of Beapher. It was an instant success, the duck flavour (ente) particularly.Six months later he has a big appetite for it and is happy and bouncing around like a kitten!
The fact that you can buy a small selection pack of all the flavours to try is very clever of Beapher I think ,unlike all the other brands where you have to commit to buying a large amount without knowing if your cat will eat it

my cat has renal problems and he loves this food. I have tried other well known veterinary products but he much prefers this and it is reasonably priced.

Life Saver!
My poor cat had lost 2Kg and wasn't eating at all. Now I have discovered Beaphar, he has a newly awakened healthy appetite. He loves his food and is getting back to his normal weight. I only wish I had known about this renal diet sooner. I cannot recommend it highly enough, it's brilliant and much better quality than Hills or Royal Canin.

Beaphar has saved my cat!!
How come UK vets don't know about this product? How come they push Royal Canin or Hill's renal food which as far as I can tell no cat I have ever had, or have read about, or heard about will ever eat!!
It is so important to get your cat to eat the right foods when they have kidney disease, Beaphar has been the only wet food my sick cat will eat that does not make him ill and he have tried them all.
Can't thank you enough Beaphar on the best renal food out there.

Hurray!
I think we must have tried just about every renal brand of cat food out there, but finally struck gold with Beaphar, which he loves. His favourite is Ente (foreign for duck ;) ) and Taurine flavours. Thanks to Beaphar, sick kitty is now eating the amount he's supposed to be, and is starting to look much better because of it.

My cat refused to eat the brands sold at the vet and lost a lot of weight. We tried Beaphar : he loves it and is much more active now.

Taska wasn't impressed
This food is like a pate, not in jelly or gravy and both my cat's turned their nose up at it, shame.
