I thought this would be ideal for my two cats - one is a 4 month kitten, the other is a 1 year old. They are both extremely playful, but they are both really unsure about this moving ball! They tend to watch it and when it rolls towards them they scurry away and hide. Now they've become acquainted with the ball they just ignore it, preferring a loose feather or a catnip ball. I have seen them play with the attached mouse when the ball is inactive, but I wouldn't recommend this product unless your cat was frightfully bold and needed a heavy-weight opponent!
