I've had this for at least four years now and it's still running. I take it apart and clean out the motor every now and then. The filters get rinsed out and changed when needed. The bowls go in the dishwasher, or I just give it all a scrub under the tap in between. My cat still prefers the running tap, but she will drink from this. It still gets 5* from me for longevity.

Best fountain yet , so easy to start up great pump both my cats love it,I clean it every day out of preference as it’s more hygienic ,it’s a great buy for the money ,nice and light to carry with water in it.

My cats both started using this fountain straight away. I have one very nervous cat and thought it’d take a while for her to use but no, she loves it. Very very quiet. I do have to change to water every other day as hair doesn’t really clear through the filters but that’s okay as I had to change the bowl of water 2-3 times a day so much better.

okay at first, but gets dirty too quickly

I've never used a fountain before, so was cautious, but with having 11 cats it seemed like a good idea. It took them a week or two to get used to it, but now they're fine using it (unless there's a really exciting puddle outside!). I change the water every 2-3 days, and throw it in the dishwasher once a week- I appreciate it, and the ease it takes to clean as much as they do! The only issue I have now, is where to put the second one that I shall soon be ordering- now that we're at 15 cats!!

I had the Catit dome water fountain before but cleaning was a nightmare. This one is really easy to clean and is quiet and my cats drink from the top pools, the running water and the bottom bowl, depending on their mood. It looks good and does not fill half the kitchen like the other one did (slight exaggeration!!)

I was in two minds because, I only have my pension but, I want the best for my two boys! I can't praise this drinking fountain, highly enough! It's virtually soundless and, it looks nice (I've put some transfers on the outside, so it looks even nicer)and, more importantly, the boys love it. Even if I turn the tap on for them, they're just not interested anymore so, happy boys and, mummy has an indoor water feature! Win/Win :-) PS nearly forgot, it's an excellent price too!

I could not decide which fountain to buy, because I had heard that they could be noisy and difficult to clean. However, I knew I couldn't keep leaving the tap on for my cat all the time, so I chose the Cat mate fountain. Now I can say for sure that this water fountain deserves 5 stars, our 2 indoor cats love it, they happily drink from it and I am glad that they are getting adequate fluids that are fresh and clean. Will definitely recommend!
